Happy Birthday!
June is filled with birthdays for our family. Mine hit this week. Just like for Father's Day and Steve's birthday last week, our family was sick (mostly Cole and me). What a bummer!

Fun With the Grandkids
Once a month, Steve's daughter Rachel and her husband Kevin watch our kids for us to go to the temple and the next night, we watch their kids for them to go to the temple. So, Saturday night was our night. What crazy fun we had - four kids age three and under!!!! We played outside, played inside, ate and ran around.

No More Monkeys...
It always cracks me up to hear Reagan repeat back to me things that I say to her or songs I sing or stories I tell her. The other day, I asked her if she wanted to sing "I am a Child of God" and she said yes and then proceeded to sing me the first verse. I didn't realize she knew the entire verse. Even more than songs or stories, she makes me laugh when she repeats things that I say that I didn't realize I was teaching her. For example, yesterday we were driving and I was telling her where we were going "we are going to meet Shanny and Matt at the shoe store, then we are going to the place we got Mom's tires, then we are going to the grocery store..." She said "Mom, somefin to eat". I mean, I have heard her say "I'm hungry" or "I want crackers", but to say that we should get something to eat is what I say, not what she says. I remember months ago when she pointed at me, shaking her finger and said "No, no, no...don't!" (little smarty pants). Also, once in a while, she will call Steve by his name, not "Daddy" - this mostly happens when he isn't responding fast enough to her demands. Another of my favorites is when I am trying to get her to eat something new and her response is "I no yike it". These type of things just make me laugh and scare me as I need to be careful about the things that I say and the way that I say them. Apparently we are teaching her whether we mean to or not. Well, one of our favorite stories/songs is "No more monkeys jumping on the bed". I was playing with her and had to laugh at the different inflections she put into each verse (very quiet when saying "no more monkeys jumping on the bed"). Check out her "No More Monkeys" in this video and please excuse the shaky nature of the video as I was an "interactive videographer" in this one.

Fun with Shannon and Matt
Steve's daughter Shannon and her husband Matt came to hang out this weekend. Once again, they got no peace with Reagan demanding their every attention.

Uh Oh, He's Mobile
Well, we knew it had to happen eventually..... Cole is mobile. After the soldier crawl, the scooting, and the backward-only motions, he "got it" and now is crawling everywhere. By "everywhere" I mean everywhere that I don't want him to be (by the stairs, by the shower, by the step to the tub, by the doors, by the fireplace, etc.) Don't get me wrong, I want him to progress, but can't he be satisfied to stay in the family room/kitchen area? And you can forget about putting him in the bouncer, the swing or the excersaucer. Oh no, those are boundaries that we just don't need anymore - wide open spaces - that's what I'm talking about. Well, with a face this cute, how could I resist? Crawl on baby Cole!

Aren't Firemen Great?
Taking any sort of drive is an adventure these days. Reagan points out every garbage truck, school bus, tractor, big truck, bus, train, police car and fire engine. I try to pull up close to them for her to see... especially the fire trucks - they are so big, bright and different from any other vehicle. We always wave to the firemen; sometimes they wave back, sometimes they honk the horn and once in a while, we'll get a buzz of the siren. Well, we had quite the experience yesterday.

Tea For Two
Santa brought Reagan a kitchen for Christmas last year (check out this pic of her crazy Christmas morning hairdo) and it is still her favorite toy.

More Fun at the Park
So, I know I have an earlier blog entry about how much we love the park, but I have to add to it. Reagan LOVES the park. Our current favorite is the Draper Park (by the start of the Porter Rockwell Trail that we walk on in the mornings).

Sunday Best
Sunday afternoon seemed like a perfect day for some pics. It was a beautiful day, flowers were blooming in the backyard and everyone was dressed in their Sunday best. I just love to get everyone dressed up for church on Sunday. (Having my own two little dress up dolls really makes it fun.)
